Most Rockville Facilities Will Be Closed July Fourth

Recycling and Refuse Collected a Day Later Through Friday of the Holiday Week

Rockville, Maryland, June 20 — City Hall and most city facilities will be closed Tuesday, July 4, for Independence Day.

Recycling, yard waste and refuse will not be collected on July 4. After regular collection on Monday, July 3, collections will be made one day later through Friday. For more information, visit www.rockvillemd.gov/recycling-refuse or call 240-314-8568.

Lincoln Park, Thomas Farm and Twinbrook community centers; the Rockville Senior Center; Croydon Creek Nature Center; Glenview Mansion, including the mansion’s art gallery; and F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre and its box office will be closed. Theater tickets are always available at www.rockvillemd.gov/theatre

The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center will close at 6 p.m. Find summer hours for individual swim center facilities at www.rockvillemd.gov/swimcenter

Parking at city-owned meters will be free.
