Proejct 7 - The Line On Rockville

THE LINE ON ROCKVILLE

Val Lewton (Washington, D.C.)

From the artist: This decorative vertical banner becomes a focal point that introduces the new Rockville Town Square to residents or commuters walking to downtown or people in transit that are traveling by Metro or vehicles. A motif of an abstract aerial view of Rockville is the imagery. The 60 feet in height by 16 feet in width banner will bisect and enliven the
beige stucco wall.

Project 7 - Untitled

UNTITLED

Byron Peck (Washington, D.C.)

From the artist: The mural is composed of elements of Rockville’s past and present. The imagery will be a symbol of the passing eras as this once sleepy town transcends its farmland beginnings into the 21st century
and beyond. The 28 feet by 20 feet painted mural on a synthetic canvas will be colorful and eye-catching to pedestrians and people traveling by car or by Metro.
