Choose Your Fun Classic Croydon Creek Nature Center party (ages 3+) Meet and interact with the much-loved reptiles and amphibians who call the center home and explore the outdoors on a nature hike. Make a nature craft to take home. Meadow Mayhem (ages 4 and up) You and your friends will catch and learn about the bugs in the meadow. Available May-September. Creek Crawl (ages 7 and up) Wear your water shoes…you and your friends will head to the creek to see what critters swim and crawl there! Available June-August. Tracks and Trails (ages 3+) You and your friends will become wildlife detectives and explore the tracks and traces left by our resident wildlife. Available October-April. Party Planning Details Parties at Croydon Creek feature a fun-filled hour-long program led by a naturalist and are best suited for children ages 3 and up. The birthday child receives an earth-friendly Croydon Creek Wild Party t-shirt and each guest makes a special nature craft to take home. Your total access time to the party room is 2 1/2 hours—this time includes set-up, your wild party, and take-down. Nature-themed goody bags are also available for an additional fee. Goody bags contain items from Nature Notions to enhance your party theme, featuring fun and recycled items. (Please call ahead for details.)  Scheduling a Party It's easy! Choose from the following room rental times: Saturdays: 10:30 a.m.- 1 p.m. or 2:00-4:30 p.m.
Sundays: 2:00-4:30 p.m.
Our parties are popular, so reserve your date well in advance! Party Fees Fee (for up to 10 children): Rockville resident - $180.00; Non-Rockville resident - $204.00. Add $10.00 for each additional child, up to a maximum of 25 children. Deposit: A $50.00 non-refundable deposit reserves the date. Deposits can be paid by phone using a MasterCard or Visa, and in person at the nature center by check, cash or credit card. Amenities You may use the refrigerator, freezer and microwave in the nature center kitchen. As part of your party, we provide and set up the tables and chairs. You are welcome to decorate the room if you wish. Bringing in or ordering food is fine—you need to provide your own utensils, plates, cups, candles, matches, etc. There is a designated outdoor spot for piñatas as well. Balloons are okay, if not released into the environment. |
