Ride and Stride for Rockville is held annually during Bike Month in May. Choose from a 12-mile "family-fun" ride or a 28-mile "challenging" ride. To include more interests and abilities, "stride" was added to give the option of participating in a friendly non-timed 5K run. This event is great for families, friends or those just looking to explore some new trails and get some exercise.

The Ride and Stride for Rockville is a benefit to raise money for Rockville's children. Rockville is committed to providing a safe environment for children whether walking or biking. All proceeds from Ride and Stride go to the Rockville Recreation Fund and Rockville Bike Fund.

The Rockville Bike Fund supports programs that promote safe bicycling in Rockville by providing safety gear, helmets, recycled bikes and safety programs to children.

The Rockville Recreation Fund provides financial assistance to children who otherwise would not be able to participate in recreation programs and camps. Funds are available to residents within the corporate boundaries of Rockville who meet the financial requirements.

Rockville Bike Advisory Committee will sponsor a supervised bike parking area on Saturday and Sunday of Hometown Holidays on the corner of Maryland Ave. and Middle Lane. Hours are 1-10:30 p.m. Bring your own lock.
