Then join the Junior Naturalists Club at Croydon Creek! Participants who complete all nine courses will earn an official Junior Naturalist T-shirt. Dress for the weather, as time will be spent outdoors. Ages 10-14.
Tiny Tot Walk – Terrific Trees Location: Croydon Creek Nature Ctr. Date/Time: 05/15/2008 10:30 AM - 05/15/2008 11:15 AM Trees are important for humans and animals too. Learn about the importance of trees through stories, hands-on activities and a craft. Participants will spend time outdoors so dress for the weather. Ages 2-3 ½.
Tyke Hike – Tree Trek Location: Croydon Creek Nature Ctr. Date/Time: 05/15/2008 1:00 PM - 05/15/2008 2:00 PM Trees are the longest and largest living things on earth. Visit the Nature Center to learn about these amazing organisms through stories, hands-on activities and a craft. Participants will spend time outdoors so dress for the weather. Ages 3 ½-6
Concert in the Square Location: Town Plaza Stage Date/Time: 05/15/2008 6:00 PM - 05/15/2008 8:00 PM Every Thursday the plaza becomes host to a variety of music including Jazz, Folk, Blues and Country. Bring your lawn chair or blanket, grab a bite to eat and take in the sounds of the area's best free concert series.
Rockville Growers Only Farmers’ Market Location: City Wide Date/Time: 05/17/2008 9:00 AM - 05/17/2008 1:00 PM Browse through a wide array of fresh cut flowers, herbs, baked goods, fruits, vegetables, and plants from local farmers, bakers, and growers. Free parking is also available.
Croydon Creek Campfire - Creatures of the Night Location: Croydon Creek Nature Ctr. Date/Time: 05/17/2008 8:00 PM - 05/17/2008 9:00 PM Around a campfire we will learn about some nocturnal creatures. Bring along a blanket or lawn chairs to sit on and enjoy a campfire treat. An adult must accompany children under the age of 10. As this is an all ages program, all participants must register.
