Other chart-toppers include "Don't Talk to Strangers," "I've Done Everything for You," "Love Somebody" and "Affair of the Heart." Aside from music, Rick Springfield is also known for playing Dr. Noah Drake on ABC's General Hospital, a role which he returned to in 2005 after 25 years. He has recently played rock star Eli Love on the show. His most recent release, a Christmas CD entitled "Christmas With You," was released on his own label, Gomer/DKE Records, in November 2007. It featured one extremely moving original track, "Christmas With You," which was dedicated to all of our fallen troops. He released a concert DVD, "Live in Rockford," in October 2006, which was filmed live as part of the HDNet Concert Series at the historic Coronado Theatre in Rockford, IL. "The Day After Yesterday" was released in July of 2005, on Gomer/DKE Records. Rick is currently working on a new studio album, which is set to come out in the summer of 2008 on the Universal record label. Rick Springfield continues to play 80 shows a year, sharing his love of performing, unstoppable energy and his unique brand of crowd interaction with thousands of fans each night. | 7-8:00 p.m. As the U.S. Navy's premier contemporary music ensemble, The Cruisers features seven of the Navy's most dynamic performers. Under the direction of vocalist Chief Musician John L. Fisher, The Cruisers contemporary music ensemble is the newest specialty unit of the United States Navy Band in Washington, D.C. The group takes its name from the Navy's versatile, flexible, multi-mission ship, the Cruiser, and is ready to live up to its namesake by performing a variety of music ranging from classic rock to rhythm and blues as well as today's top 40 hits.

The 7th annual Ride & Stride for Rockville is an organized bike ride and fun run/walk to benefit Rockville’s Youth Recreation Fund. Back by popular demand are the 2- and 5-mile run/walk routes, and of course your choice of a leisurely 12-mile bike ride or a challenging 28-mile bike ride. This event is fitting for all ages! | |  
1- 10 p.m. Celebrate the diversity and international culture of Rockville when the best restaurants in the area offer tastes of their menus. | VISARTS FINE ARTS FESTIVAL | 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Enjoy fine arts and fine crafts up and down Gibbs Street in Rockville Town Center. Artists from across the country will feature jewelry, paintings, photography, glass, sculpture, and furniture. Please note that the VisArts Fine Arts Festival begins at 10 a.m. | | GOING GREEN EXPO | 1-8 p.m. Meet local and regional exhibitors as they display their green products ranging from recycled bags, countertops, energy-related products and free recycled books. | | KIDS' ACTIVITIES | 1-10 p.m. Check out the activities available for all ages to enjoy in the Middle Lane parking lot including a kiddie ferris wheel, tiger moonbounce, Jurassic Adventure, Finding Nemo Experience, Wave of Fire Slide, Car Speedway, Adrenaline Rush Obstacle Course, and more! Performed by a delightful cast of adorable, multi-talented pandas and other Chinese circus performers, this is a fantastic forty-five minute extravaganza of skill and daring that will delight both the young and the young at heart! | 4-5 p.m. 6-7 p.m. Reptiles Alive is a wildly exciting and educational show that introduces live reptiles from all over the world. Robin) | PLAZA STAGE | 1:30-3 p.m. Mahala is South Africa’s voice in the Washington D.C area and has been thrilling audiences for years. Their vibrant indigenous sounds and intricate rhythms of “township jive” are broadening the scope of many Americans around the Metro area and the United States. Mongezi "Chris" Ntaka, founding member of Mahala, is the former lead guitarist for reggae giant Lucky Dube. | 3:30-5 p.m. The M Shanghai Band of Brooklyn, New York started in 2002 as a monthly show in the basement of a local Chinese restaurant, the M Shanghai Bistro. Locals began to call the band “M Shanghai” and the name just stuck as the crowds grew. Their debut album, “Up From the Ground Below” set the mission in motion: timeless original music played with a sense of abandon, captured completely live. | 5:30-7 p.m. Since 1990, Unity Reggae Band has been thrilling audiences with its unique sounds of roots-based reggae music. With over a decade of live performances, Unity has shared their message to thousands of happy music lovers of all ages at festivals, colleges, and clubs. | | AUSTIN GRILL STAGE | 1:00-1:30 p.m.

| | MARYLAND STAGE | 4-5 p.m. Miss Chianti’s School of Dance is composed of classes and award-winning competition groups of all ages. Dancers are trained in ballet, tap, lyrical, hip-hop, pom-pom and step dance styles. They have preformed locally in the Rockville Memorial Day Parade, Germantown Oktoberfest, Gaithersburg Labor Day and St. Patrick’s Day Parades, and Poolesville Day. Miss Chianti’s Dance School has also performed aboard Carnival Cruise Ships “Fantasy,” “Ecstasy” and “Imagination,” as well as at Walt Disney World in Florida. | 6-7 p.m. Composed of youth from Rockville and the surrounding areas, The Finest! is an award winning performance troupe. Since 1989, membership of The Finest! has come to include writers, choreographers, steppers, praise/liturgical and hip-hop dancers, singers, actors, models, marching drills, pom-poms, drummers, and more. | | COURTHOUSE SQUARE STAGE | 12-1 p.m. 2-3:30 p.m. Rockville's own The West End produces a sound they like to call primitive Americana rock. Formed by neighbors Mike Shawn, Monique DeFrees, Brad Rourke, and Matthew Taylor, they have quickly built a dedicated and loyal following. Their live shows are marked by an infectious enthusiasm for the music combined with respect for the individual songs. The Natty Beaux! The Natty Beaux bring several diverse styles that blend together brilliantly to perform music they have a common love for: swingin' jump blues and rockabilly.
| | MONTGOMERY STAGE | 1-2:30 p.m. The fusion of ancient and modern instruments allows Andean music group the Mystic Warriors to truly express themselves in front of a large and diverse audience. Wanting to make their music more accessible to their American audience, the Mystic Warriors have included contemporary instrumentation in their traditional Andean music by adding guitar, synthesizers, drums and bass. While growing up, they were influenced by pop music and culture, listening to Top 40, classic rock and contemporary jazz—a mix that has influenced their music as much as their Andean music background. | 3-4:30 p.m. Tim Ford, pianist and bandleader, has played everything from swing to jazz, and blues to Latin rhythms for over 30 years in the Washington, DC area. Tim has appeared at The Kennedy Center, Blues Alley, the Alexandria and Herndon Jazz Festivals and the Corcoran Gallery of Art. Tim is joined by trumpet player Vince McCool, co-founder of the J-Street Jumpers and drummer Byron McWilliams. Byron previously played with the popular rhythm and blues group Jr. Cline and the Recliners. | 5:30-6:30 p.m. Since 2005, Wootton High School’s male a cappella group, The Supertonics, has been performing contemporary and traditional a cappella hits combined with energetic dance moves and props to entertain audiences. The Supertonics have competed as state finalists in the National Championship of High School a cappella, and have been featured as part of the District of Columbia’s televised Martin Luther King Day program. |

| Hometown Holidays is hosted by the Mayor and Council of Rockville, Rockville American Legion Post 86, and the Rockville Chamber of Commerce Special Events Volunteer Application | Parade Registration Application - Video and audio recorders and cameras are prohibited during Sunday evening's concert.
- Bring beach chairs or blankets to ensure comfortable seating, and please be considerate so that those around you can see the show too.
- No chairs or blankets allowed within 100 feet of the stage.
- Lost children should report to the First Aid/Information booth.
- For safety reasons, bikes, skateboards and inline skates are not permitted to be ridden in the event area.
- For your safety, no glass containers or animals should be brought to Hometown Holidays.
- Recycle and garbage bins are located throughout the festival. Please dispose of trash, plastic bottles and cans responsibly.
- Most events will take place rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, call the Special Events Line at 240-314-5022 for cancellations.
