Farmers Market Starts This Weekend

Farmers Market Just in time for Mother's Day, visitors to Rockville's Saturday farmers market will find a healthy variety of items to make Mom's day. The Saturday market is held weekly from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Nov. 23 in the parking lot at the corner of Route 28 and Monroe Street. The Wednesday market opens on June 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in town center.

Pick up a copy of the City's summer recreation guide at City Hall, community centers and other City facilities or view it online. Registration starts May 16 for Rockville residents and May 23 for non-residents. (Guide will not be mailed to homes.)
Rockville families don't have to go far to enjoy some of the best supervised summer fun in the greater Washington area. To register for  camps visit www.rockvillemd.gov/recreation/guide/camp13 or call 240-314-8620. For Playgrounds information visit www.rockvillemd.gov/recreation/playgrounds.html or call 240-314-8620.

Croydon Creek

The National Parks Trust and the City of Rockville Recreation and Parks Department invite everyone to visit Croydon Creek Nature Center on May 18, from 9-5 p.m. to celebrate Kids to Parks Day. Spend time outdoors enjoying the John Hayes Forest Preserve. Stop by the Nature Center for an activity and a craft. All ages. Free.
Annual Ride of Silence

biker Join our annual ride in Rockville as cyclists worldwide honor those who have been injured and killed while cycling on public roadways. This will be a police-escorted ride with no fees or sponsors.  Bring your helmet for a 10-mile ride that starts at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15 at the library in Town Center.

HTH Concert Audience Music - really good music - is at the heart of Rockville's 25th annual Hometown Holidays festival, which kicks off on Saturday, May 25 in town center. This year the City is bringing more than 30 bands out for performances on five stages. Also included: the Taste of Rockville, amusements and entertainment for kids, and the Memorial Day ceremony and parade.
