F. Scott Fitzgerald Short Story Contest

One of the most popular aspects of the annual F. Scott Fitzgerald Literary Conference that is held each fall in Rockville is the opportunity for emerging writers to produce works for the F. Scott Fitzgerald Short Story contests. Each year, a judged contest is held for students who reside or attend school in the City of Rockville and an open contest is held for anyone living in Maryland, Virginia or Washington, D.C.

Award winners are announced at the conference, and the winners get the opportunity to meet the honoree of the conference. Past honorees have included some of the greatest writers in America.

Winning entries from the previous year are printed in the conference’s program. Both contests are sponsored by the F. Scott Fitzgerald Literary Conference, Inc. and supported by the City of Rockville, Montgomery College, Gazette Newspapers, Rockville Cultural Arts Commission, Peerless Rockville Historic Preservation, Ltd. and the F.
