A. Variance Application APP2004-00824, Joann Sweet

The applicant seeks a seven-foot variance from the front yard setback requirement to construct a front porch along the entire width of the house.  The property is located at 307 Seth Place.

B. Special Exception Application SPX2004-00339, First Baptist Church of Rockville

The applicant seeks to reestablish the church’s previously operated kindergarten program and to continue operating the accompanying childcare component, all located on the ground level of the church at 55 Adclare Road, in the RS (Suburban Residential) Zone.

The following applications were filed, tentatively, for June 5, 2004:

Special Exception Application SPX2004-00341, Rockville Blades LLC – for a beer and wine service at existing first floor restaurant and second level mezzanine lounge at 50 Southlawn Court.

Variance Application APP2004-00825, Reginald Miller – a variance to construct a sunroom in rear yard at 1107 Halesworth Drive.

Variance Application APP2004-00826, Saul Kravitz – a variance to construct a deck at 1386 Stratton Drive.

Variance Application APP2004-00827, Joseph Dulaney – a variance to construct an addition at 819 Aster Boulevard.

NOTICE: The Thursday evening following each regular Saturday Board of Appeals meeting is reserved for continued meetings.  The Board's policy is to end regular meetings no later than 4:00 p.m.  Agenda items unable to be heard by that time wioll be rescheduled to the afore noted hearing date.

Maryland law and the Board of Appeals' Rules of Procedure regarding ex parte (extra-record) communication require all discussion, review, and consideration of this matter take place only during the Board's consideration of the item at a scheduled meeting. Telephone calls and meetings with Board members in advance of the meeting are not permitted. Written communication will be directed to appropriate staff members for response and included in briefing materials for all members of the Board.
