As required by the Rockville City Code, the Compensation Commission submitted their report outlining their recommendations on March 30, 2007. Next, the Commission will meet with the Mayor and Council on Monday, April 30 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss various aspects of the report. The Compensation Commission, a group of five individuals appointed by the Mayor and Council, conducted a public hearing on March 6, 2007 for the purpose of receiving public input on: how Mayor and Council compensation should be determined; the frequency of Mayor and Councilmember compensation consideration; who should determine the compensation of the Mayor and Councilmembers; as well as other matters related in general to the compensation of the Mayor and Councilmembers. |
