STAFF COMMENTS/ RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends Approval of HDC98-0118 based on site visits, proposed design, and material list submitted by applicant.
The proposed driveway is not obtrusive from the public way and will harmonize with the two-story brick structure and the surrounding area.
The adjacent house at 203 W. Montgomery is one of several area properties which have brick walkways. The proposed driveway is consistent with the existing surroundings.
The proposed driveway will duplicate the existing driveway in scale, proportions, and arrangement. It will differ only in texture, from asphalt and gravel to imprinted brick-colored asphalt. The surface will be more imperious.
Approval is subject to the following conditions:
Per Section 25-415, of the Zoning and Planning code, Paving specifications, all off-street parking and loading areas shall be paved with a minimum of:
(1) Six (6) inches of concrete; or
(2) Six (6) inches of bituminous asphalt; or
