II. EVALUATIONS FOR HISTORICAL, ARCHITECTURAL OR CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE:

A. 522 West Montgomery Avenue - Buckingham Property
Continued from June 18, 2002 for discussion of previous testimony and recommendation of significance to the City of Rockville Mayor and Council.

B. 550 Reading Avenue

C. 701 Grandin Avenue

D. 103 Forest Avenue


The HDC will hear comments and testimony on the significance of these sites to Rockville. The record will remain open for a specified time to receive further comment and testimony.

III. COURTESY REVIEWS

22 West Jefferson St.: O-1 expansion and addition to the present building and parking area. Part of the property is in the South Washington Street Historic District. Most of the property is not. (tentative; no plans received)

Dawson Farm Park: Construction of a park shelter and replacement of bridge.

Beazer Homes (Matt Wenner): Replace gateway pillars at Rose Hill Mansion

The HDC adjourns at 10:00 PM unless extended by the Chair.


Maryland law and the Historic District Commission's Rules of Procedure regarding ex parte (extra-record) communications require all discussion, review, and consideration of certain matters take place only during the Commission's consideration of the item at a scheduled meeting. Telephone calls and meetings with Commission members in advance of the meeting are not permitted. Written communication will be directed to appropriate staff members for response and included in briefing materials for all members of the Commission.
