Continued from December 19, 2002 meeting for recommendation of significance to the Mayor and Council. The record closed on January 9, 2002 but may be re-opened by the HDC if requested.

The Historic District Commission will review these sites and structures for architectural and/or historical significance to the City. It will receive testimony and comments from interested parties. A recommendation of significance to the City of Rockville Mayor and Council may be rendered at this meeting or the record may be held open for a specified period of time to allow for further comments.

1. Rose Hill Barn: Expanded setting defined December 16, 2002.
2. 22 Martin’s Lane: Introduce ordinance to grant map amendment on January 13, 2003.
4. 110 South Adams Street: Public Hearing on January 21, 2003.
5. 522 West Montgomery Avenue (Buckingham): On hold for plat recordation.


E. Nominations, Awards, Recognition:

1. Rockville: Portrait of a City nomination for State Heritage Book Award submitted.
2. Peerless Rockville and Montgomery Preservation nominations to be selected
3. School poster contest for National Preservation Week
4. Reception with Peerless Rockville for National Preservation Week to recognize new historic properties

The HDC adjourns at 10:00 PM unless extended by the Chair.

Telephone calls and meetings with Commission members in advance of the meeting are not permitted. Written communication will be directed to appropriate staff members for response and included in briefing materials for all members of the Commission.

Notice: The HDC now meets on the third Thursday of the month.
