A. Annexation Petition ANX99-0129
(Fling & Beiglarbeigi properties on Westmore Road) - Held public hearing
and recommended approval (5-2 with Paul Douglas and Susan Hoffman against) by
the Mayor and Council with the provision that right-of-way dedication along
Westmore Road not be required unless MCDPWT needs it for a future widening.
B. Use Permit application USE98-0591, Montgomery Avenue Women's Shelter - Approved
(4-0-2 with Paul Douglas recusing himself since he is on the shelter's board.
Jane Fry-Emond and Susan Hoffman abstained since they were not present when
the Planning Commission made its recommendation to the Board of Appeals).
C. Text Amendment TXT99-0175, King Farm Associates - Recommended approval (4-3
with Hoffman, Douglas and Giammo against) by the Mayor and Council of the amendment
to allow the use of single-family semi detached dwelling units as submitted
by the applicant.
