A. APPROVED (3-0-1
with Commissioner Giammo abstaining) Time Extension for Use Permit Application
USE98-0583, Rockville Center, Inc.
- to allow a one-year time extension for implementation of an approved Use Permit
for a 429,000 square foot office building in the TCM-2 (Town Center Mixed-Use)
Zone at 196 East Montgomery Avenue.
B. APPROVED (4-0) Final Record Plat Application PLT2000-00223, King Farm Associates - to dedicate an additional two feet to public right-of-way along Gaither Road between King Farm Boulevard and the northern edge of the property.
C. APPROVED (4-0) Use Permit Application USE1999-00601, Research Grove Associates - Request for waiver of underground utility requirement. Request to locate transformer above ground in the I-3 zone.
D. APPROVED (4-0) Use Permit Application USE1999-00604, Eden Café and Karaoke, 2131 Veirs Mill Road - proposal to convert an existing, vacant bank building into a restaurant with a karaoke component. Application includes minor site modifications, including parking lot re-striping.
E. Voted to RECONSIDER at a later meeting (4-0) Use Permit Amendment Application USA1998-0582A, A.R. Kronstadt - Request for waiver of underground utility requirement. Request to locate transformer above ground in the I-1 zone.
F. APPROVED (3-1) Use Permit Application USE2000-00607, Potomac Capital Investment Corp. - to allow construction of a 500,000 square foot office complex in the I-3 (Industrial Park) Zone at 620 Gaither Road (continued from the June 14, 2000 meeting).
G. Voted to CONTINUE
until a later meeting (4-0) Use Permit Application USE2000-00611,
Capstone LLC Development Services - to allow construction of a 4,999 square
foot, free-standing restaurant in the RPC (Rockville Pike Commercial) Zone at
775 Rockville Pike.
III. RECOMMENDATION TO THE MAYOR & COUNCIL
A. Recommended APPROVAL (4-0) Use Permit Amendment Application USA1989-0440C,
Whalen Family Trust Inc. and Allfirst Bank - to incorporate the Allfirst
Bank Building at 4 Courthouse Square in the approved Use Permit for 11 North
Washington Street in the TCM-1 (Town Center Mixed Use-1) Zone.
