I. EXECUTIVE SESSION (7:00p.m. - 7:30p.m.)

Executive Session pursuant to Section 10-508 (a)(7) of the State Government Article, Annotated Code of Maryland, to consult with counsel to seek legal advice.

 

II. REVIEW AND ACTION

A. Time Extension for Use Permit Application USE98-0583, Rockville Center, Inc. - to allow a one-year time extension for implementation of an approved Use Permit for a 429,000 square foot office building in the TCM-2 (Town Center Mixed-Use) Zone at 196 East Montgomery Avenue.

 

B. Final Record Plat Application PLT2000-00223, King Farm Associates - to dedicate an additional two feet to public right-of-way along Gaither Road between King Farm Boulevard and the northern edge of the property.

C. Use Permit Application USE1999-00601, Research Grove Associates - Request for waiver of underground utility requirement. Request to locate transformer above ground in the I-3 zone.

D. Use Permit Application USE1999-00604, Eden Café and Karaoke, 2131 Veirs Mill Road - proposal to convert an existing, vacant bank building into a restaurant with a karaoke component. Application includes minor site modifications, including parking lot re-striping.

E. Use Permit Amendment Application USA1998-0582A, A.R. Kronstadt - Request for waiver of underground utility requirement. Request to locate transformer above ground in the I-1 zone.

F. Use Permit Application USE2000-00607, Potomac Capital Investment Corp. - to allow construction of a 500,000 square foot office complex in the I-3 (Industrial Park) Zone at 620 Gaither Road (continued from the June 14, 2000 meeting).

G. Use Permit Application USE2000-00611, Capstone LLC Development Services - to allow construction of a 4,999 square foot, free-standing restaurant in the RPC (Rockville Pike Commercial) Zone at 775 Rockville Pike.

III. RECOMMENDATION TO THE MAYOR & COUNCIL

A. Use Permit Amendment Application USA1989-0440C, Whalen Family Trust Inc. and Allfirst Bank - to incorporate the Allfirst Bank Building at 4 Courthouse Square in the approved Use Permit for 11 North Washington Street in the TCM-1 (Town Center Mixed Use-1) Zone.

Application for Subdivision PLT2000-00224, King Farm Associates - street dedication of Plat29, Parcels AJ and AK at Irvington Centre. Filed 6/27/00.

Appeals Application APP2000-00735, Ronald Cohen Investment - appeal of Inspection Services Division orderts to remove signage at 1527 Rockville Pike. Filed 6/30/00.

Use Permit Amendment Application USA1988-0430B, Wilkes Artis - addition of a third level to the previously approved parking structure at 2101 Gaither Road. Filed 7/3/00.

Maryland law and the Planning Commission's Rules of Procedure regarding ex parte (extra-record) communications require all discussion, review, and consideration of the Commission's business take place only during the Commission's consideration of the item at a scheduled meeting. Telephone calls and meetings with Commission members in advance of the meeting are not permitted. Written communications will be directed to appropriate staff members for response and included in briefing materials for all members of the Commission.
