Planning Commission


I.  RECOMMENDATION TO BOARD OF APPEALS

A. Special Exception SPX2007-00372, Sorosh Sadeghi - for approval of an accessory apartment in the R-60 Zone at 316 West Edmonston Drive in the Hungerford neighborhood.  Voted 4-0 to recommend approval with staff conditions.

B. Special Exception SPX2007-00370, Twinbrook Community Church (Attachment A | Exhibit 1) for  approval of a 105 student private elementary educational institutional in the R-60 Zone at 5906 Halpine Road in the Twinbrook neighborhood.  Voted 4-0 to recommend approval with staff conditions, and further that the Board of Appeals address the overlapping activities on the site.

II.  REVIEW AND ACTION

A. Final Record Plat PLT2007-00479, Global Country of World Peace - for resubdivision approval of a 10,417 square foot pipestem lot as Lot 36, Block B, H.L. England’s 2nd Addition to Rockville in the R-60 Zone in the 500 block of North Horners Lane.  Voted 4-0 to approve with staff conditions.

B. Use Permit Application USE2006-00700, PMG Inc. - for the construction of an automobile filling station with ancillary retail and restaurant space in the C-2 Zone at 801 Hungerford Drive in the Town Center.  Voted 4-0 to approve with staff conditions.

C. Final Record Plat PLT2007-00472, PMG Inc. - for assemblage of two existing lots into a single record lot of 23,320 square feet in the C-2 Zone at 801 Hungerford Drive.  Voted 4-0 to approve with staff conditions.

OLD BUSINESS

Twinbrook Neighborhood Plan - directed staff to schedule two Planning Commission public hearings after the summer break for additional community input, to be followed by worksessions during which the Commission will discuss modifications to the Plan prior to recommendation to the Mayor and Council. Additional illustration of the Plan recommendations to be provided for the nonresidential areas to be distributed widely for comment.
