I.    BRIEFING

A.  Montgomery County Annual Growth Policy – for a briefing by Park and Planning on revisions being considered to the policy. Received briefing.

II.    RECOMMENDATION TO BOARD OF APPEALS

A.    Special Exception SPX2010-00379 and Variance VAR2010-00005, National Lutheran Home | Staff Report – for the conversion of the existing nursing and elderly housing facility to a lifecare facility, a 14,000 square foot addition to the nursing facility, a 4,300 square foot addition to the administrative offices and additional parking in the R-400 Zone at 9701 Veirs Drive. Voted 4-0 (Commissioners Johnson, Pakulniewicz-Chidiac and Wiener absent) to forward a favorable recommendation and find that the SPX application is in compliance with the Master Plan. Voted 4-0 to recommend approval of the VAR application.

III.    RECOMMENDATION TO MAYOR AND COUNCIL

A.  Map Amendment MAP2010-00107, Mayor and Council of Rockville – for a rezoning of the property at 224 Elizabeth Avenue from R-60 to R-60 (Historic District) Voted 4-0 (Commissioners Johnson, Pakulniewicz-Chidiac and Wiener absent) to recommend approval of the application and find that it is in compliance with the Master Plan.
