I. REVIEW AND ACTION A. Site Plan STP2010-00025, MHP Bealls Inc. Attachments: 1 | 2 & 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8-16 – for construction of a 74-unit apartment building in the MXNC Zone at 250 and 254 North Washington Street. Approved by a vote of 6-1, with Commissioner Hill opposed, subject to staff-recommended findings and conditions, and the addition of a condition related to replacement of tress on adjacent properties. B. Time Extension for Use Permit USE2006-00699, Duball Rockville LLC – for the second of two one-year time extensions for the use permit allowing a 175-room hotel, 485 multiple family dwelling units and 45,000 square feet of retail space in the PD-RCI Zone at 196 and 198 East Montgomery Avenue. Approved by a vote of 7-0.
II. RECOMMENDATION TO MAYOR AND COUNCIL
A. Region Forward, A Comprehensive Guide for Regional Planning and Measuring Progress in the 21st Century – for a recommendation to endorse the Washington Council of Governments (COG) document. Recommended that the Mayor and Council endorse the document by a vote of 7-0.
B. Text Amendment TXT2010-00227, Mayor and Council of Rockville - to extend the implementation period of site plans, use permits, project plans or special exception applications that will be valid as of June 30, 2010. Recommended that the Mayor and Council approve the text amendment as drafted with two minor clarifications as recommended by staff, by a vote of 4-3, with Commissioners Hill, Ostell and Trahan opposed.
