The task force continued to discuss and edit the WTD Management Plan.
Editing of the plan began at the Management Section (Currently Section V).
It was agreed by everyone present to use the basic structure of the current plan, while incorporating edits from Jackie Raiford and adopting the goals and strategies from the Howard County Plan.
The Procedure Matrix drafted by Jake Marren will be edited to incorporate and distinguish procedures in private and public land. This will be added as the Procedures Section (currently Section VI), while also incorporating edits from Jackie’s document.
Recommendations that will eventually be presented to the Mayor and Council with the draft of the new White-Tailed Deer Management Plan will be taken from the Action Section of the Howard County Deer Management Plan.
The education component of this document will be reworked to incorporate components from the City’s Public Information Office and information from the Howard County Plan.
Current methodology definitions in the Howard County Plan will be used in the appendices of the new Rockville Plan to expand the information available in it.
Next Meeting
The next meeting is tentatively scheduled for January 18, 2011 at 7 p.m. Will confirm date and provide information regarding location of meeting at a later date.
