1. Approval of February Minutes

The commissioners approved the February Minutes.

2.  Review of Division Report

The commissioners reviewed the monthly Traffic and Transportation Division report.

3.  Review of FRIT Development Traffic Study

Most of the meeting focused on reviewing the draft findings in the traffic study. Mr. Marcus outlined the multi-modal findings detailed in the traffic study. Discussion focused primarily on the roadway concepts, specifically reversible lanes on West Montgomery and Maryland Avenues.  Commissioner Resnick proposed restricting the reversible lane configuration from two lanes eastbound all day to a three hour period during the morning peak, when the extra lane is required. The Commissioners and staff agreed with the recommendation.

 4.  Update on Bicycle Master Plan and I-270 / MD 28 Bridge

Commissioner Filemyr and Mr. Marcus updated the group on the progress of the bicycle master plan and design of the pedestrian bike bridge on MD 28, over I-270. 

5. Transit Adequacy Definition Principles

Chairman Klein distributed his Transit Adequacy Guideline for final review & comment.  The document will be forwarded to the Mayor & Council over the next month.

6.  Updates to the Pedestrian Policy

Commissioner Klein continued to lead the discussion on revisions to the Pedestrian Policy. Commissioner Gonnella committed to sending in her comments separately.
