Development Projects in Rockville

Development projects throughout Rockville are required to comply with the City Code and address the needs of the surrounding community.

To learn about development projects occurring in your neighborhood, visit the following City Web sites:

  • Planning Applications and Site Plans provides a list of large ongoing projects and links to associated applications and site plans.
     
  • Upcoming Area Meetings includes public meetings to be held by private developers for large projects in the city. For more information, contact Community Planning and Development Services at 240-314-8200.
     
  • Planning Applications Filed This Month includes a list of new applications received by the City's Community Planning and Development Services Department. Lists are archived for several years.
     
  • Permit, License and Application Status Search allows you to search for a specific address or case number to determine the status of the project.
     
  • City Projects Update provides updates on projects within the Department of Public Works and Recreation and Parks Department.
     
  • Development Review Committee is comprised of representatives from City departments and external partners. The committee holds regular meetings to review development projects and the public is welcome to attend.
