Department of Information Technology

What We Do

The Department of Information Technology (IT) manages the City’s telecommunications and cable TV regulatory activities, telephone, and computer systems including, desktop computers, mobile computers, wireless communications devices, and local and wide area networks. The department also maintains the City’s web servers and Geographic Information System (GIS), and collects revenues from telecommunication related activities, including wireless leases, rights-of-way agreements and cable franchise agreements. The department consists of three divisions: IT Operations, Voice Communications and GIS Operations.

Services We Provide

The IT department provides internal services to City staff but cannot handle requests for technical assistance from the public.

Technology vendors are encouraged to visit the Department of Finance Purchasing Division page for information on bids and on the City's purchasing process.
