Rockville provides once-per-week refuse collection in the gray cart.

Refuse is everything that fits inside the gray cart that is not listed in the single-stream recycling, yard waste, bulk refuse, metal recycling, electronics recycling or hazardous waste sections.
  • Use plastic trash bags to collect trash before placing inside the gray cart to keep the cart clean.
  • Place the cart with the wheels to the curb by 6 a.m.
  • Keep the lid closed to avoid spilling trash or attracting animals and to minimize odors.
