NOTICE OF ADDITIONAL  PUBLIC HEARINGZONING TEXT AMENDMENT TXT2018-00246 ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE PRODUCTION

On July 10, 2017 & October 16, 2018 the Mayor and Council authorized the filing of zoning text amendment TXT2018-00246.  This text amendment proposes to define types of alcoholic beverage production, establish the zones where these facilities may be located in the city, and establish parking standards for these proposed uses.

The Mayor and Council opened the public hearing on this text amendment on Monday, September 11.  At the close of the public testimony the Mayor and Council directed the staff to establish October 16, 2017 for continuation of the public hearing.  The record of the public hearing will remain open during this time.

FY2019 BUDGET 

Notice is hereby given that the Mayor and Council of Rockville will conduct a public hearing on Monday, October 16, 2017, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as it may be heard, in the Council Chambers, Rockville City Hall, 111 Maryland Avenue, Rockville, Maryland, in connection with the preparation and development of the FY 2019 budget.  

The Mayor and Council is seeking public input for the development and creation of the FY 2019 Operating and Capital Improvements Program budget.  

Persons wishing to testify at the hearing are asked to call 240-314-8280 before 4:00 p.m. on the date of the hearing to have their names placed on the speakers’ list.

TXT2018-00247 - ROCKVILLE PIKE

Notice is hereby given that the Mayor and Council of Rockville, Maryland, will conduct a public hearing on Monday, October 16, 2017, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as it may be heard, in the Council Chamber, Rockville City Hall, 111 Maryland Avenue, Rockville, Maryland, in connection with Text Amendment Application TXT2018-00247, Mayor and Council of Rockville, Applicant.

The purpose and intent of this application is to amend Chapter 25 of the Rockville City Code entitled “Zoning” by amending Sections 25.03.02, 25.07.07, 25.13.02, 25.13.03, 25.13.05, 25.13.07, 25.17.01, and 25.17.08 to add definitions; revise the Project Plan procedures; establish a new zone, the Mixed-Use Corridor Transition (MXCT) Zone; revise the land use tables; and establish revised development standards for the purpose of implementing the recommendations of the adopted Rockville Pike Neighborhood Plan.

MAP2018-00116 ROCKVILLE PIKE SECTIONAL MAP AMENDMENT

Notice is hereby given that the Mayor and Council of Rockville, Maryland, will conduct a public hearing on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as it may be heard, in the Council Chamber, Rockville City Hall, 111 Maryland Avenue, Rockville, Maryland, in connection with Sectional Map Amendment Application MAP2018-00116, Mayor and Council, Applicant.

The purpose and intent of this application is to implement the zoning recommendations of the adopted Rockville Pike Neighborhood Plan by rezoning certain properties, applying a new zone, the Mixed-Use Corridor Transition Zone, to certain properties, and confirming the existing zoning of other properties within the Rockville Pike planning area.
