Victim/Witness Assistance Program
Victim/Witness Assistance Program
The Rockville City Police Department recognizes that every victim needs and expects a minimum level of follow up to bring his/her experience to closure. The Victim Advocate works in collaboration with Rockville City police officers to supplement and enhance their efforts to follow up with victims of crime.

The Victim Advocate makes direct contact with crime victims to provide information on their specific cases, such as what will happen after a police report is written and what will happen when a case goes to court. The program also provides information on resources available in the community such as counseling, court accompaniment, financial compensation and crime prevention.

The Victim Advocate Program is free and is eligible to all City of Rockville residents, or victims of crimes committed in Rockville, and their family members.

For support, information, and referral to appropriate sources of help following a crime, contact the Victim Advocate at the Rockville City Police Department at 240-314-8917 or e-mail
