Why Pavement Removal?

Pavement removal is a great way to help the environment, restore the natural water cycle,and protect your local streams and the Chesapeake Bay.

Pavement Removal Rebate

The City of Rockville provides rebates to single family residences, homeowners associations, condominium associations and non-profits 
for removing pavement and replacing it with turf grass (sod) or native plants. Eligible properties are offered a financial rebate of $3 (sod) or $4 (native plants) per square foot, with a minimum volume of 100 square feet. The maximum available rebate per property is $1,200.

To receive a rebate you must retain and submit itemized receipts and/or final invoices for all project costs. The rebate amount cannot exceed documented costs. If you are unsure whether you are a City of Rockville resident, visit the address and residency check webpage.
