Rockville 2040 Kickoff Meeting
On May 9, 2015, the city held a kick-off meeting for Rockville 2040, the process to update the city’s Comprehensive Master Plan (CMP). More than 50 members of the public, plus several members of city staff, participated.

At that meeting, we asked participants to review two key components of the existing 2002 Comprehensive Master Plan – the Vision statement and the Underlying Principles. Participants worked in tables and suggested which components they would keep the same, and which they would change.

We would welcome your input, as well. Please review the existing Vision and Principles, and provide your comments. Your input will be reviewed by the Planning Commission as they develop an updated Master Plan.

Master Plan Vision Statement
Give us your thoughts on the current vision statement of the 2002 Comprehensive
Master Plan. Do you believe this 2002 vision is still relevant?  If not, why not?

Master Plan Principles
Give us your thoughts on the current guiding principles from the 2002 Comprehensive Master Plan.  Would you delete or change any of them? Would you add something new?

Below are the meeting materials and results from the kickoff meeting.
