                                         Notice of New Speed Monitoring System

In a continuing effort to reduce the number of speeding vehicles in City of Rockville neighborhoods the Rockville City Police Department will begin deployment of a speed monitoring system in the 500 block of N. Horners Lane. Both portable cameras and mobile vans will be used. They will begin monitoring the new location on or about July 10. While the system will be fully functional, citations will not be issued during July. Beginning Aug. 3, citations will be issued for vehicles exceeding the posted speed limit by 12 mph or more.
