Testing and Evaluation
Written Examination
Applicants who have submitted an application at least two weeks prior to the test date should receive a notice advising them of the test date, location and time. All applicants will be requested to bring a valid state driver's license and a second form of identification, such as a birth certificate or social security card.

Walk-ins will also be accepted on the date of the written test. However, applicants will be required to be at the testing site at least 60 minutes prior to the test time. All walk-ins will be required to complete a City of Rockville application prior to the test. To complete the application online, you will need to create an account with a user name and password.

Re-Application and Testing
The City of Rockville allows reapplication, retesting and re-evaluation of applicants not appointed to probationary status on any previous attempt, provided that nothing in the applicant's history has disqualified him/her for appointment. The applicant must reapply by submitting a new Rockville Employment Application.
