Rockville Arts Programs have something for everyone!

If you are looking to be entertained, stop by our Sunday Afternoon Concert Series at Glenview Mansion or The F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre for a play. You can also enjoy Free for All in the Parks for weekly concerts or visit Rockville Town Center  or VisArts at Rockville for movies, concerts and events.  

Participate in the Performing Arts 

  • Rockville Chorus 80 member adult chorus that rehearses weekly and perform concerts at F. Scott Fitzgerald Theater and other community events.
  • Rockville Civic Ballet  75 adult and children dancers perform the holiday classic "The Nutcracker" as well as spring and summer productions at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre. 
  • Rockville Concert Band  75 adult volunteers who rehearse weekly and perform concerts from September through April at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre as well as several outdoor events.

On-Going Exhibits and Collections

  • Glenview Mansion Art Gallery Housed in the beautiful 1930's era Glenview Mansion, the second floor Art Gallery is open to the public Monday through Friday.  An opening reception is held the first Sunday of each month (check website for calendar), with new exhibits monthly. Admission is free and the building is ADA accessible. 
  • Rockville's Art in Public Places This display of public art pieces helps to generate an identity that continues to make Rockville a prime destination in the greater Washington, D.C. metro area. The different pieces of art, scattered throughout the city, reflect the vitality and diversity of the people and businesses within the community.
  • Sculpture on the Grounds These large-scale outdoor sculptures are part of the City's Art In Public Places Program.  The exhibit takes place annually from June through October on the grounds of Rockville Civic Center Park.

Ignite Your Creativity

  • Classes are offered in dance, creative movement, pottery, watercolors, guitar and many more for adults, teens and children. The instructional  ballet program, under the direction of Claudia Mangan has been a cornerstone of the Rockville community for almost 40 years.

  • Summer Camps include "Way Off Broadway", Pottery, Dance, "Abrakadoodle"  and a variety of specialty camps throughout Rockville. Many camps end with a production or exhibit for parents and friends. 

Advisory Board

  • Cultural Arts Commission  meets on the second Wednesday of the month to discuss art programs and projects and make recommendations to the Mayor and Council.
