General Assistance
Rockville Emergency Assistance Program (REAP)
Emergency financial assistance is available for eligible City of Rockville residents experiencing financial crisis such as eviction, foreclosure, or utility shut-off or who need one-time-only prescription medication. Referrals for emergency food, clothing, financial/employment counseling and income tax assistance are also available.

Information and Referral

Our staff can help residents find resources for financial assistance, career counseling, housing and temporary shelter, emergency food, child care, treatment for drug and alcohol abuse, health care and many other needs. Money Management Workshops
Money management workshops provide tools to equip participants with a better understanding of financial planning, prioritizing bills, reducing expenses and finding solutions to emergency situations. Find more information on upcoming money management workshops throughout Montgomery County.

Employment Counseling
Our staff is able to refer low-income residents to individualized employment counseling sessions. Additionally, the Community Services Division offers a monthly job club in collaboration with CareerCatchers, a local nonprofit. The Rockville Job Club meets on the second Monday of each month at the Twinbrook Community Recreation Center, from 1-3 PM. For more information, call 240-314-8319.
