The design and construction of all structures shall be in compliance with Chapter 5 of the Rockville City Code and the Maryland Fire Prevention Code.

The Inspection Services Division also enforces the following codes with amendments:

2012 Adopted Chapter 5, Buildings and Building Regulations Amendments
Effective January 1, 2012, the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development updated the Maryland Building Performance Standards to adopt the 2012 International Code Council codes. Local jurisdictions began enforcing these codes July 1, 2012. The 2012 adopted code is available below. Copies are available for review at the Inspection Services Counter at City Hall, 111 Maryland Avenue.
