"Gaia's Corner" is a mixed media mosaic mural that is a focal point of CCNC. Enjoy spending time trying to find all of the hidden creatures represented in the piece.

The center is home many live animals including snakes, aquatic and terrestrial turtles, a variety of amphibians, fish and honeybees.

A watershed exhibit in our lower level gives visitors a tour of our local watershed as well as ways they can make a positive impact on it. Additionally, there are temporary exhibits that highlight seasonal themes.

Looking for something more hands on? Our Discovery room includes a large selection of books, games, puzzles and activities for all to enjoy.

The Nature Center is located adjacent to the John G. Hayes Forest Preserve which includes just over 2 miles of marked trails with historic relics, a meandering tributary of Rock Creek and a variety of wildlife.

Nearby places of interest include The Glenview Mansion and the Historic Rockville Cemetery.
