Household Hazardous Waste
Rockville will collect household hazardous waste by appointment.

Leftover household products, such as oil-based paints, cleaners, oils, batteries and pesticides, contain corrosive, toxic, ignitable or reactive ingredients that are considered household hazardous waste. Rockville offers a convenient and safe collection service to help you safely dispose of these products.
  • Call 240-314-8568 weekdays, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., to schedule an appointment and for instructions for how to safely set materials out for collection.
  • Self-hauling waste to the Montgomery County Transfer Station (16101 Frederick Road) is also an option.
