Rockville Pike Plan Update
Mayor and Council Holds Public Hearings on Draft Rockville Pike Plan

  • A Walking Town Meeting is scheduled for the morning of Saturday, November 1, 2014. The Mayor and Council, staff, and interested members of the public will tour the southern portion of the Pike Plan area to observe existing conditions and consider potential impacts of the draft Plan's policies. Please check back to this page for meeting time and location.
  • The Mayor and Council will hold public hearings on the Planning Commission's draft Rockville Pike Plan at their regularly scheduled meetings on September 29, October 27, November 17 and December 8, 2014 in the Mayor and Council Chambers. Meetings start at 7:00 p.m. and may be viewed live on Comcast, Verizon and RCN channel 11 or streamed online anytime.  Please note that additional public hearing dates may be added.
  • Read the Current Draft of the Rockville Pike Plan under review by the Mayor and Council
  • To submit written testimony to the Mayor and Council on the plan for the public record, send email to  or mail to City Clerk's Office, Rockville City Hall, 111 Maryland Ave., Rockville, MD 20850.  Written testimony may be submitted in addition to, or in place of, speaking at a Mayor and Council public hearing.

Rockville is updating its plan for a section of Rockville Pike. The update involves community members in developing a vision for the future of the Pike and the land on both sides of it. You can help create a great location for people to shop, work, live, gather and move.
