Rockville Bicycle Recycling Program

The Rockville Bike Hub has partnered with the City to collect and refurbish donated, used bicycles and redistribute them to the children who receive the awards. The Bike Hub is actively searching for kid’s bikes to add to their supply. If you have a children’s bike that is not being used anymore, consider donating it to the Rockville Bike Hub to be part of this program. Your donation is tax-deductible. More information can be found at www.rockvillebikehub.org or by emailing . Please share this with friends and family who may also have bikes to donate.

Some residents do not have the resources to purchase a bike. Unfortunately, without a bicycle, these residents will not be able take full advantage of the City's bicycle paths and lanes and other bicycling-related programs offered in the City. Children without bicycles experience one of the greatest negative impacts: they are often dependent on their parents to drive them to visit parks and friends, participate in sports and access other destinations in the City.

Bicycling is also a fun way for children to be active and healthy. Encouraging children to bicycle can help them become physically active and healthy for life.
