Rockville Skate Park
The City of Rockville Skate Park is a one-of-a-kind skate park. This customized park was built and renovated with input from local skaters. Murals were done by local artists and donated to the park.

Operational changes are coming to the Skate Park effecting July 1 2017.  Two of the most significant changes are to the facility’s hours of operation, and helmet policy.

The Park’s hours for the summer season (06/15/17-09/03/2017) are as follows:
Monday-Friday: 3-8 PM
Saturday: 10 AM-8 PM
Sunday: Noon-8 PM
Hours will change seasonally.  Be sure to check the Skate Park’s website for updates.

To promote safety, all park users (regardless of age) must wear a protective helmet.  While some “loaner” helmets will be available, users are highly encouraged to bring their own.  Staff members will be on duty to enforce this policy throughout the park’s hours of operation.

The Rockville Skate Park is currently an unsupervised and free park open from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. daily. Use at your own risk. All skaters are recommended to wear a helmet, elbow pads, wrist guards and knee pads.

Skatepark features include:

  • 24-foot wide, four-foot tall mini-ramp
  • Three-foot ton, four-foot tall, 20-foot wide micro ramp with escalator and extension
  • Two hubba ledges, three-set, five-setKids enjoying a day at the Skate Park
  • Euro-gap
  • Pump - hump
  • Quarter pipes, rails, funboxes and manual pads

The park was built and is operated by the City of Rockville Department of Recreation and Parks.
