Do you like playing board games? Cards? Chess? Checkers? The Lincoln Park Community Center has the program for you. Every Saturday afternoon from 2pm until 5pm, you can join others who enjoy the same kinds of games you do and even learn new games that you have have never heard of before like "Go" or "Rummikub". It's a great way to make new firends, challenge your mind and just have fun. For more information, please call the center at (240) 314-8782. | The City of Rockville and the Lincoln Park Community Center have designed an afterschool program for children in grade levels K-8. This drop-in recreational program is designed to give school-aged children the opportunity to have somewhere safe and fun to hang out. Children will beable to engage in a daily Sports & Games and/or Arts & Craft activity. Educational computer activities, along with homework time and monthly field trips, also will be included in the program. Grade Level: K-8 Time: 3:30 - 6 p.m. Fees: Residents - $75 per six week session Non-residents - $105 per six week session | Upcoming Club House Sessions | - The Lincoln Park Community Center is proud to announce our newest program, the LPCC Garden Club. This club is geared towards getting our younger members outdoors and to learn about the environment. We will kicking off the club over Spring Break, and then it will be held Tuesdays and Thursday from 4:30pm - 6:00pm. | The Lincoln Park Community Center is proud to announce a partnership with the Commonweal Foundation in a program called "Partners in Learning." | | With the purchase of your LPCC fitness or membership card, you are entitled to participate in the drop-in program for the center. (Does not include Kids Club Afterschool Program.) Drop-in times vary each month depending upon classes, activities, and teentime afterschool programs. A new drop-in schedule will be posted every two months. | Private Rentals Do you have a special anniversary, birthday, or retirement to celebrate? Lincoln Park Community Center is available for private rental by residents and businesses within the City of Rockville. Manna Food Provides a variety of food services at no cost for those in need. Deliveries are made on Friday at 12 noon. Distribution is open to the public. Workreation For teens; combines work and recreation. Jobs range from helping with City-sponsored events, to working with recreation staff on administrative and special program needs. You can work toward payment of any City of Rockville sponsored teen activities, cultural arts activities, special events programs, and/or recreation classes. Community Groups/Meetings Lincoln Park Civic Association, Lincoln Park Historical Society, Elks Club, American Legion, and others. Department of Public Safety and Community Services Provides counseling, outreach, protection, security, and other services. |
