‘Becoming a Better You’ Parenting-Based Workshop for Moms Offered June 11
Get Great Tips on Health and Wellness; Childcare will be Provided

ROCKVILLE, Md., May 27, 2008— Being a parent is one of the toughest jobs in the world. For mothers in particular, having a vital role in the children’s lives can sometimes leave very little downtime for rest and personal reflection. In honor of all mothers, the City of Rockville’s Department of Recreation and Parks invites moms to attend “Becoming a Better You,” a workshop at Lincoln Park Community Center on Wednesday, June 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. All moms are invited to attend and enjoy an evening full of helpful presentations.

“This is a great event for mothers who may sometimes forget to take time for themselves. We wish to help by providing an evening full of helpful tips from how to better manage stress, to useful health and beauty secrets that all moms could use,” said Cynthia Bangali, Community Services Program Coordinator.

Attendants at the workshop can enjoy the following presentations: learn about wellness and nutrition; learn stress management tips; receive beauty and hair care information; and even learn how to make facials from ordinary kitchen ingredients.

For those who cannot find a babysitter, there is no need to worry. Childcare for children ages 3 and older will be provided.

Admission fee to this workshop is $5 for Rockville residents and $8 for nonresidents. Refreshments will be served. For more information and to register for this event, contact Cynthia Bangali at 240-314-8317 or Yvette Yeboah, Assistant Community Center Supervisor at 240-314-8783. Lincoln Park Community Center is located at 357 Frederick Ave.
