Rockville City Hall to Close Jan. 19 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day
No Recycling or Refuse Collection
ROCKVILLE, Md., Jan. 13 - Rockville City Hall and many City facilities and programs will be closed or operate on a limited schedule on Monday, Jan. 19, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Parking is free in Town Square garages and at on-street parking meters all day.
The City will not collect recycling, refuse or yard waste on Monday, Jan. 19. Residents with twice-per-week collection should hold their items until their next regularly scheduled collection day. Residents with once-per-week collection will have their collection shifted to the following day.
Monday, Jan. 19, collections will shift to Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 21, collections will shift to Thursday. With the higher than normal traffic expected on Inauguration Day, the City will make every attempt to make collections as scheduled. If the City is unable to complete collections on Tuesday, then residents should leave items out on Wednesday. Call 240-314-8568 with questions.
