Celebration of Tom Paxton's Lifetime Achievements
Institute of Musical Traditions presents a performance in his honor

Rockville, Md., June 16, 2009 - The F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre will present a celebration of the lifetime achievements of Tom Paxton on Sunday, June 28. The singer-songwriter legend will be recognized for being awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Recording Academy.

The celebration will include performances by Tom Paxton, Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer, Robin Bullock and other special guests. Loralyn Coles will open the show. Tom Paxton will also be recognized for the Contemporary Folk Album of the Year award from the Washington Area Music Association.

This concert is made possible by a grant from the Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Washington Area Music Association, Songwriters Association of Washington and National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences members pay $15.
