Samantha Brown Photography Now on Display at Thomas Farm Community Center
Student recognized by "Hidden Rockville" Program

Rockville, Md., June 19, 2009 - The Hidden Rockville Program recognized Richard Montgomery High School student and Rockville resident Samantha Brown for her outstanding photography. Her work will be on display at Thomas Farm Community Center, 700 Fallsgrove Drive, until July 31. An artist's reception will be held on Friday, June 26, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Brown has an interesting take on her photography. She creates images in black and white or color, however she only uses the image captured by the camera without using computer manipulation. She has been taking pictures for three years, including still life, portraits and natural and public scenes. She has won several awards from the Montgomery Women's Club, City of Rockville Student Art Show and the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair. As a member of the Lucky Clover's 4-H Club, Samantha has advanced through several formal and informal photography projects that moved this hobby into a career interest. Brown is starting her own business as a junior entrepreneur and is available for commissions and custom work.
