Design Contest Opens for Local Artists
Creativity Wanted for Uncorked! Wine and Music Festival Poster Competition
Rockville, Md., June 30, 2009 - Local professional and amateur artists are invited to submit entries for Rockville's Uncorked! Wine and Music Festival official poster design competition. Montgomery County residents ages 18 and older are encouraged to submit original entries for use as promotional information on posters, newspaper and magazine print ads, and on the City of Rockville's Web site.
Designs should integrate related subject matter, such as grapes, vines, wine bottles and glasses. Entry into the competition is free. The deadline to submit is Tuesday, July 14. The winner will receive $500, recognition as the Official Poster Artist and 10 posters. The design will be displayed in storefronts and display cases throughout the City of Rockville.
Entries should include a completed entry form, design submission and a brief biography of the artist. All media is acceptable. Art submissions should be 11 inches wide by 17 inches high or to scale. Vertical orientation is required. The festival logo and schedule of events will be added to the winning design, and should be considered during the design process. Please sign artwork.
