Dedication of College Gardens and Fallsgrove Parks, May 8
ROCKVILLE, Md., May 4, 2010- The City of Rockville's College Gardens and Fallsgrove Parks will welcome residents with dedication ceremonies on Saturday, May 8.
The Rockville Mayor and Council will be at the events, as well as other representatives from state and county government.
The College Gardens Park re-dedication is planned for 9:30-10:15 a.m.at 615 College Parkway, between MD 355 and Nelson Street. The event will feature a plaque unveiling by the Mayor and Council, a flag ceremony performed by Girl Scout Troop #2228 and light refreshments.
The Fallsgrove Park dedication is planned for 10:30-11:30 a.m. at 700 Fallsgrove Drive, adjacent the Thomas Farm Community Center near MD 28. The event will feature a plaque unveiling by the Mayor and Council and tours of the park's community garden.
