Glenview Mansion Art Gallery Presents Free Show and Concert in June
 
ROCKVILLE, MD, May 25, 2010 - The Glenview Mansion Art Gallery at Rockville Civic Center Park, 603 Edmonston Drive, will showcase local visual artists Jean Barnes Downs, Katie Dell Kaufman, Rona Eisner and Sally Giarantana, and a performance by The Bruce Swaim Quartet at a free community reception Sunday, June 6, 1-30-3:30 p.m.
 
"This show is a great opportunity for community members to meet local artists in person, learn about Rockville's art community and listen to a great performance," said Julie Farrell, City of Rockville arts program specialist.
 
The monthly gallery exhibit, will feature print making by Barnes Downs; collage, assemblage and drawing from Dell Kaufman; Eisner's digital art and watercolor; and Giarantana's ceramics. The show will run Sunday, June 6, through Tuesday, July 6. Admission to the gallery is free and hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; and closed official City holidays. Glenview Mansion Art Gallery is wheelchair accessible.
 
The Bruce Swaim Quartet, featuring Jay (Seamus) Cooley, Paul Langosch and Dominic Smith will entertain visitors with a mix of originals mainstream jazz and original arrangements of standards between 2 and 3 p.m.
