ROCKVILLE, Md., May 27, 2010 - The Rockville Chorus has been honored with an invitation from Dinslaken, Germany to participate in a once-in-a-lifetime gathering of 106 choruses who will perform in a concert in June.

To represent Rockville, 25 members of the chorus will travel to the Ruhr region of Germany to participate in the performance at the "Schalke" professional soccer stadium in Gelsenkirche, Germany.

Besides Gelsenkirche, other cities and venues where the Rockville Chorus will perform include: Dinslaken, where it will join a local chorus called "Haste Tone" for the iSing Choral; the Festival of the Ruhr Valley; Hamburg at St. Michael's Cathedral; and the Rellingen Barock Church. The chorus will also perform in Rockville's Sister City at the Pinneberg City Hall.

The Rockville Chorus is currently composed of 70 members and has been delighting local audiences for more than 30 years. The chorus performs two major concerts per year at the F.
