Power Restored at Rockville City Hall
Clean Up Efforts Continue from Sunday Afternoon Storm
ROCKVILLE, MD, July 25, 2010 -- Power was restored to Rockville City Hall Sunday evening following a powerful line of storms that knocked out power and downed trees in the city.
On Sunday night, Rockville City Police have been assisting with traffic direction at major intersections where traffic signals were still without power. City crews have been working to clean up downed trees and other debris.
Residents should treat intersections without traffic signals as four-way stops. Residents requiring police assistance that is not an emergency should call 240-314-8900. Residents with an emergency should call 911.
City Hall will open for business as usual Monday morning. For fallen trees blocking the road, call 240-314-8700 during normal business hours.
Residents who need to report a power outage can call Pepco at 1-877-PEPCO-62 (1-877-737-2662). To report downed wires or a life-threatening emergency, call 202-872-3432.
