Rockville Opens Cooling Centers, Continues Clean Up Efforts
Summer Camps, Several City Facilities Remain Closed Monday
 
ROCKVILLE, Md., July 26, 2010 -The City of Rockville is working to remove felled trees and debris left behind from a powerful storm that struck the area Sunday afternoon. Rockville summer camps and the summer playgrounds program remain closed Monday.

Several other City facilities are closed Monday due to power outages and clean up efforts. They are:

Rockville recreation classes that are held in Montgomery County Public Schools or at the above facilities will not be held Monday.

A decision about whether facilities and programs will operate Tuesday will be made late Monday.
 
Many facilities and programs in Rockville are operating as scheduled. The City has also opened cooling centers. They are:

Recycling and refuse will be picked up as scheduled. Residents who need to report a downed tree should call 240-314-8700.
 
Richard Montgomery High School is open as a special needs shelter. Call 311  for more information.
 
Water restrictions remain in place for all Rockville residents at this time.
