Funeral Services for Carl Henn Set for Saturday
 
ROCKVILLE, Md., July 29, 2010 -A funeral service for the public to remember and celebrate the life of longtime Rockville resident and civic activist Carl Henn will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 31, at F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre at Rockville Civic Center Park, 603 Edmonston Drive.

Henn, 48, lived in Rockville for more than 20 years. He died July 27 after being struck by lightning on July 25. Henn devoted his life to civic activism. He served on the City's Environment Commission and the Rockville Bicycle Advisory Committee. He also served as president of the Hungerford Civic Association.
 
Henn was instrumental in the creation of three community gardens in the City of Rockville - one in the King Farm community and two in the Fallsgrove community.
